The Department of Paediatrics at Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA) is committed to delivering comprehensive and specialised care for children - from newborns to adolescents - in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We also work closely with other departments and units including Paediatric Surgery, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Dietetics to provide holistic, family-centred care.
Inpatient Wards
We provide round-the-clock paediatric care through the following dedicated units:
- General Paediatrics Ward - A 20-bed ward for children with a wide range of medical conditions, from common infections to chronic illnesses.
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - A 15-bed unit for premature babies and critically ill newborns, staffed by skilled neonatologists and nurses.
- Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - A 4-bed unit equipped for children requiring advanced monitoring and life support for serious or complex illnesses.




Outpatient Paediatric Clinics
Our specialist clinics operate on scheduled days and offer targeted care for children with specific medical needs.
- General Paediatrics - For routine follow-up, growth and development concerns, and general medical issues.
- Developmental Paediatrics - Assessment and management of developmental delays, behavioural concerns, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Paediatric Gastroenterology - Evaluation and care of children with digestive issues, feeding difficulties, and gastrointestinal diseases.
- Echocardiography Clinic - Non-invasive imaging to assess heart structure and function, especially in children with suspected cardiac abnormalities.
- Paediatric Neurology - Management of neurological conditions such as seizures, cerebral palsy, and neurogenetic disorders.
- Paediatric Endocrinology - Care for hormonal or growth-related issues, including diabetes, thyroid problems, and puberty concerns.

Outpatient Paediatric Clinics
Our specialist outpatient clinics operate on weekdays during office hours. Clinic appointments are scheduled at 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Morning Session) and 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM (Afternoon Session). Closed on weekends and public holidays.
