UiTM Primary Care Medicine was established in 2005 with two clinical lecturers. At the beginning of its establishment, this discipline had contributed towards the formation of the Undergraduate academic curriculum and planning for the teaching and infrastructure of the Faculty of Medicine. This discipline plays an important role in contributing to the accreditation of the UiTM Medical Undergraduate curriculum by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in 2008, 2013 and 2018. The primary care medical discipline has been officially upgraded to the Primary Medical Department in 2018. After 15 years of operation, the Medical Department Primer now has 19 lecturers, forming a dynamic group. In 2010, the Department of Primary Medicine successfully developed the Family Medicine Postgraduate Program, and thus became a Member of the Family Medicine Specialization Subcommittee (Konjoin). After 10 years of undergoing the Program, UiTM Primary Medicine Department has successfully produced 18 Family Physician graduates. Lecturers at UiTM Primary Medicine Department are active in the clinical and research fields. Each lecturer is encouraged to deepen their interest in their respective clinical and research fields. The Department of Primary Medicine aims to grow and provide clinical services to patients who will be discharged from the Hospital in Puncak Alam.

For ‘walk-in’ clinics please come to the clinic during clinic operating hours by bringing:
- Identification card
- Proof of GL / Insurance (Medical Card) / UiTM Staff ID
For an appointment, please bring a UiTM clinic patient card or a Referral Letter from an external Hospital / Clinic. Attendance of all citizens or non-citizens is welcome. Payment of charges is according to the rate set by UiTM (please refer to the charge page)
