AUXILIARY POLICE DEPARTMENT

The name of the Auxiliary Police Deparment was rebranded from the Security Division starting in 2011 after the application for approval of the establishment of PB by the PDRM was approved.

Beginning I August 2011, the Auxiliary Police was placed under the Vice-Chancellor and known as the Uitm Auxiliary Police Office. For state campuses, their administration is placed under the Rector of the Campus and is known as the Auxiliary Police Deparment. The functions and roles of the Assistance Police are still the same but the scope of duties and jurisdiction has been reviewed by having the powers of the Police.

DUTIES – GENERAL DUTIES OF HASA UiTM Auxiliary Police Department

  • PROTECT HASA'S ASSETS.
  • RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE SAFETY AND ORDER OF STAFF, STUDENTS AND THE PUBLIC.
  • CONTROLLING THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC RUNS SMOOTHLY.
  • MAKE CRIME PREVENTION PATROLS.
  • ADDRESSING & PREVENTING FIRE (FIRST RESPONDER) .
  • TO INSPECT ANY OFFICERS/STAFF, VISITORS, CONTRACT WORKERS SUSPECTED OF CARRYING PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT.
  • DETAIN ANY SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUALS.
