Objectives
- Design and implement short -term and long -term training on an ongoing and effective basis for all Assistant Medical Officers.
- Ensure that at least 50% of UiTM Hospital Assistant Medical Officers are involved in any activities or programs conducted either outside or inside the Hospital.
- Make at least 50% of UiTM Hospital Assistant Medical Officers involved in continuous learning sessions as instructors at UiTM Hospital.
- Ensure the management and administration of Assistant Medical Officers is systematic by creating detailed and systematic documentation for the administration & amp; management of Assistant Medical Officers in the future.
ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Provide the vision and mission of the Supervisory Unit
- Prepare the policies and objectives of the Supervisory Unit
- Provide an organizational structure
- Involvement with respect to the role, justification and management of budgets and resources
- Management of educational involvement of Diploma Medical Assistant students conducting clinical programs in Hospitals
- Involved in Committees in Hospitals such as the Internal Disaster Committee & External, Fire Committee & Security, Security Committee & Occupational Health and so on.
- The Chief Supervisor of the Assistant Medical Officer attends the Technical Meeting of the Assistant Medical Officer to discuss all needs and improvement of service quality
- Attend directed hospital level meetings
- Managing the needs of members & new job application (ABM)
- Placement arrangements according to the needs of the Department/Unit
- Manage the distribution of staff according to the needs of the Department/Unit
- Monitoring & disciplinary management of Assistant Medical Officers
- Monitoring related to clinical services together with Deputy Chief Assistant Medical Officer 1 and Deputy Chief Assistant Medical Officer 2
- New member orientation matters
- Prepare documents for MSQH audit of PPP service standards
- Ensuring management & administration according to established standards
- Ensuring management & the administration of the PPP Supervision Unit is supervised systematically and managed
- Together with Deputy Head 1 and Deputy Head 2 to supervise all Assistant Medical Officers at UiTM Hospital
- Monitoring and compliance with the Policy, Standard of Procedure and Protocol of each Department/Unit by members
- Ensure that each member is aware of the existing Policies, SOPs and protocols
- Provide evidence of compliance with policies, SOPs and procedural protocols by members
- Adherence to infection control procedures
- Compliance with the Medical Assistant code of ethics
- Compliance with the rules set by the hospital level
- Ensuring that the acts (act 180 Medical Assistants and regulations 1979 as well as the medical act 1971) are complied with by Assistant Medical Officers
- Responsible for the management of ambulance services
- Infrastructure or Interfacility Transport
- Management of medical standby programs/activities
- Responsible for the management, supervision and appreciation and performance of members
- Provides orientation modules
- Provides member training modules
- Manage outpatient attachment training at other hospitals
- Provide a training calendar
- Responsible for conducting regular orientations to new staff
- Manage member training records
- Manage member competencies
- Help manage training hours in mycpd to renew the Annual Practice Certificate (ARC)
- Identify staff who already have a C & P certificate
- Manage registration for C & P certificates
- Providing Credential Criteria & Privileging
- Provide logbooks for members
- Review and ensure member logbooks are updated
